IT Systems Engineer with strong experience of Windows 2003 / 2008 Server AD, Exchange 2007, IIS, DNS, DHCP, Office 2003 / 2007, and some commercial development or programming experience in .NET is required by our Client based in Leicester.
Your primary role will be responsible for providing support and operational maintenance for a Microsoft server-based infrastructure with a secondary role of providing .Net development for site applications, applicants should have skills in both of these areas. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Standard server operating tasks
- Proactively monitoring server status and performing server maintenance
- Dealing with exception and error conditions
- Managing back-ups, restores and assisting with disaster recovery procedures
- Developing application software in conjunction with the Systems Architect
- Managing and developing shared directory structures, file permissions and group policies
- Assisting with collecting, analysing and reporting performance data, capacity planning and system tuning
This is an ideal role for a highly technical Systems Engineer looking to work in a challenging and fun environment, candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills and you will require proven experience within a busy and demanding service environment
Salary: £40,000 + Benefits
