VB.Net Contract – 6 to 9 months – Maidenhead - £225 daily
A VB.Net Developer with strong knowledge of Winforms applications and converting VB6 applications into VB.Net applications is required by our client based locally to Maidenhead, Berkshire. A daily rate of up to £225 daily is available for 6 to 9 month contract.
The VB.Net Developer will help in the conversion of VB6 applications to VB.Net. You will be working within a framework designed by our in house development team systematically converting the VB6 forms to VB.Net. You will be required to compare the code/functionality from our legacy VB6 application to the new .Net code converted.
The VB.Net Developer will also be expected to liaise with application experts to confirm the correct operation of the converted .net code. The successful candidate would be expected to generate high quality maintainable code.

Essential:
- Experience in VB.Net Winforms applications
- SQL Server 2005/2008
- Experience of working in large complex business applications

Desirable:
- Infragistics controls Winforms experience.
- VB6 experience to understand legacy code.
- TFS (Team Foundation Server) API or Webservices
